Colombian Cocaine Queen Shot Dead

 Queen of cocaine from Colombia named Griselda Blanco (69) which has been active in the cocaine business since 1970, was shot dead by a group of unknown people. The shooting occurred in the northwest Medellin, Colombia. 

Quoted by AFP on Tuesday (09/04/2012), suddenly came gunmen riding a motorcycle shot Griselda Blanco and the head twice. This event occurs when Griselda left the butcher shop. Local officials said, Blanco still maintaining its stance since he returned to Colombia in 2004, after serving nearly 20 years in prison out of a total sentence of 60 years in prison in the United States on charges of drug trafficking. 

Blanco allegedly have to send 1,500 kilograms of cocaine into the United States each month. at the height of its operations, Blanco was the first to open the smuggling routes from Colombia via Florida. 

He pioneered the use of human "mules" to bring cocaine into the United States and later became a mentor for Pablo Escobar, the Medellin drug cartel leaders later took over operations. Blanco declared guilt over 250 murders, including the murder of her husband
