Interesting details: The process was held in the same court building, where businessmen and Putin critic Michail Chodorkovski in 2010 was convicted of stealing the oil itself. Chodorkovski, former director of the Yukos oil company, is currently in prison accused Putin's political pursuit of the musician band Pussy Riot. "The goal is to teach the critics of the regime." Said Chodorkovski told German newspaper 'Süddeutsche Zeitung', which according to the daily conduct interviews for months with the opposition.

Meanwhile, human rights organization Amnesty International recognizes that women musicians as political prisoners. In Russia in addition to the three female members of the band Pussy Riot, a former oil company manager Michail Chodorkovski and former business partner Platon Lebedev also received the status of political prisoner by Amnesty International
